What Should You Expect?
When you arrive at our office you should expect to be seen promptly. Your time is as valuable to you as ours is to our office. Emergencies happen, and occasionally you or the doctor may be delayed. However, our aim is to see everyone on a timely basis, and we ask that you arrive with this goal in mind. Similarly, if you find you are unable to make your appointment, please call to let us know as soon as you know, preferably 24 hours before the planned visit.
On your first visit, there will be some basic paperwork to fill out. This includes basic demographic information (who you are), and explanation of your rights as a patient (which we will ask you to acknowledge with your signature), and a brief survey of your recent symptoms. Altogether, the paperwork should take 10-15 minutes. The most time consuming of these is the survey of recent symptoms, which you may wish to download prior to your visit so that you can complete it at home before you arrive.
Once you sit down with the doctor, you may expect to spend approximately 45-55 minutes in the office for a first visit. This is to allow plenty of time for an in depth exchange about your condition. Subsequent visits may vary in length, but generally run 20 to 30 minutes.
Survey of Recent Symptoms
